New spaces
Over the summer period we have been very busy. We have been moving office in Newcastle and setting up the new office in Leeds. This has meant I have spend considerable amounts of time on the train traveling around the country.
Things are fortunately settling down and the new offices are really starting to feel like home.We have always wanted the space to deliver the culture we have aspired to. Yoga and pool at lunchtime have gone a long way. more…

Why Bother?
I had some feedback this week form someone who had visited the site who was questioning the use of the site and its benefit. I asked this myself when our web developer suggested it. I was a little skeptical when I started out doing this blog.
Whatever anyone thinks about it there is no doubt that it is read. When I am out and about people mention they have read the blog. The people who use it are people who may be joining the business or people who have left the business and are keen to know what is happening. The intention is that the blog gives a feel of Waring and Netts as a people organisation rather than what comes across corporately in the rest of the site. more…

We're in!
Last weekend our team worked tirelessly to get us moved into our new building. We closed up shop at lunchtime on Friday and worked all weekend and were up and running by Monday morning. This was one of the best team efforts I have ever seen and the level of organisation made me really proud.
Our IT team made sure everything worked perfectly and seamlessly. This meant some long shifts over the weekend. I was there on Saturday lending a hand but nursing a hangover I wasn't much help. Moral support only! Sunday I was a laborer for the IT team who seemed to have an incredible collection of wires and boxes. more…

Too Long
Its been too long since I have been able to update my blog! Its just not good enough. I am not sure if there is an excuse apart from not having the time.
We have opened the Leeds office and will move into the new office in Newcastle in a couple of weeks time. WE are really keen to get both of these investments right and have spent allot of time on the detail. more…
